In a dynamic fusion of tech-house and hip-hop, Grammy-nominated DJ and producer FISHER teams up with Grammy-winning rapper Flowdan for what is undoubtedly one of the most electrifying releases of the year. Titled “Boost Up,” this highly anticipated track dropped on August 9th via Catch & Release Records, promising to dominate dance floors worldwide.

FISHER, known for his infectious energy and party-starting beats, expressed his excitement about the collaboration, stating, “I’m stoked to have linked up with Flowdan for our new single ‘Boost Up’ out on Catch & Release! I’ve been a fan of Flowdan for a while, and being able to collaborate on this track is huge! Yeww, boost up!” Flowdan echoed this enthusiasm, playfully describing the track as “the Energizer Bunny’s theme tune.”

“Boost Up” brilliantly marries Flowdan’s deep, resonant voice with FISHER’s signature choppy house beats and playful synths. The track’s rhythmic cadence and break-led structure create an atmosphere of unrelenting energy. Flowdan compares the vibe of the track to a “souped-up engine,” saying, “Yeah, we’ve got the energy, we’re juiced up – maximum boost up.”

2024 has proven to be another landmark year for the Australian DJ, solidifying his reputation as one of the most exciting acts in electronic music. FISHER kicked off the year by hosting his own sold-out festival, Out 2 Lunch, which saw 30,000 attendees flock to Queensland’s Gold Coast. In March, he continued his hot streak with two sold-out nights at San Francisco’s iconic Cow Palace, followed by a trio of sold-out shows at Brooklyn Navy Yard over the July 4th weekend.

Not one to rest on his laurels, FISHER also holds a weekly residency at Hï Ibiza, where his infectious energy keeps the island’s partygoers dancing late into the night. On August 9th, the same day as the release of “Boost Up,” he is set to host his festival at London’s Gunnersbury Park, featuring a star-studded lineup, including Purple Disco Machine, Vintage Culture, and Chloé Robinson.

Since bursting onto the scene with his Grammy-nominated single “Losing It” in 2018, which has amassed over 600 million streams, FISHER has been on a roll. His recent projects include a rework of Jennifer Lopez’s 1998 hit “Waiting For Tonight” and an official remix of Gotye’s 2011 chart-topper “Somebody That I Used To Know.” Additionally, FISHER has transformed Bob Marley & The Wailers’ classic reggae track “Jamming” into a rave anthem and remixed DJ Trance Daddy’s underground hit “It’s That Time,” a track that has been making waves in clubs worldwide.

Flowdan’s contribution to “Boost Up” comes during a pivotal moment in his career. The British MC recently made history as the first UK rapper to win a Grammy, thanks to his chart-topping hit “Rumble,” produced by Skrillex and Fred again.. In October 2023, Flowdan also took the spotlight at the high-profile international boxing event, “Battle of the Baddest,” featuring Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou in Saudi Arabia. His performance, alongside US rap sensation Lil Baby, was watched by millions worldwide and led to their collaborative track “Pepper,” further cementing his status as a leading figure in the music industry.

Flowdan’s career trajectory has seen him evolve from a member of Roll Deep and Pay As U Go to a key player in the British electronic music scene. Known for his commanding voice on The Bug’s 2007 hit “Skeng” featuring Killa P, Flowdan has lent his vocals to a range of genres. His collaborations include the wobbly UKG track “Shella Verse” with Sammy Virji and the platinum-status drum & bass anthem “Baddadan” with Chase & Status, Bou, Irah, Trigga, and Takura.

“Boost Up” stands as a testament to the versatility and energy of both FISHER and Flowdan. This track, blending tech-house beats with gritty, powerful vocals, is sure to become a staple in DJ sets and on dance floors across the globe. As Flowdan continues to prove his adaptability across genres, and FISHER solidifies his status as a dance music powerhouse, “Boost Up” is set to be a defining track for both artists in 2024.
