In a pulsating synthesis of sound and rhythm, the Grammy-decorated live electronic ensemble RÜFÜS DU SOL has unveiled an official remix of their freshest single, “Lately.” This reimagined opus comes courtesy of Israeli maestros Adam Ten and Mita Gami, released under the Rose Avenue/Warner Records banner.

First teased during RÜFÜS DU SOL’s impromptu DJ session at The Cause in London earlier this month, the Adam Ten and Mita Gami remix of “Lately” emerges as an effervescent, club-centric rework that beautifully complements the original. Infused with buoyant percussive elements, rapturous crescendos, and intricate rhythmic interludes, the remix is a masterful concoction of deep house and melodic techno, drenched in the duo’s signature sonic alchemy.

Adam Ten and Mita Gami now join a distinguished cadre of official remixers within the RÜFÜS DU SOL orbit, a coterie that includes luminaries such as Solomun, Adriatique, Anyma, Adam Port, Carlita, and Maxi Meraki—the latter having recently reimagined “Music is Better.” Earlier this year, the duo graced the stage as the opening act for RÜFÜS DU SOL’s headline DJ set at Coachella’s newly inaugurated Quasar Stage and delivered electrifying performances at the Yuma Tent across both weekends.

“Lately” follows in the footsteps of the group’s prior single, “Music is Better,” marking their first musical foray since the 2021 Grammy-nominated album Surrender. Accompanied by an official music video, shot in timeless black and white and helmed by director Alex George, “Lately” unfolds the next chapter in the band’s rich visual narrative, intricately woven with a palpable sense of world-building that permeates every creative facet of the project.

Since the release of Surrender three years ago, RÜFÜS DU SOL has ascended to new heights, clinching a Grammy for Best Dance/Electronic Recording in 2022 for their anthemic track “Alive,” securing two additional nominations the following year, and garnering their fifth ARIA award in their native Australia. The band has embarked on a global odyssey, captivating audiences at festivals across Europe and South America, and bringing the Surrender experience to iconic North American stages such as New York’s Forest Hills Stadium, Denver’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre, and Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl. Their boutique Sundream Festival, now in its second iteration in San José del Cabo, has further solidified their status as curators of immersive musical experiences. This year, the group graced the inaugural Quasar Stage at Coachella, unveiling previously unheard IDs and offering a tantalizing glimpse of what’s in store for the future.

As the anticipation builds, Adam Ten and Mita Gami’s remix of “Lately” sets the stage for RÜFÜS DU SOL’s sole live performance of the year, headlining the Portola Festival in San Francisco on September 28.
