Italy’s iconic Kappa Futur Festival returns this July for its longest-ever edition and today they announce the first Phase of the line up with some of the biggest names in dance music joining the party.
The world-renowned electronic music and digital arts festival’s 9th edition will now run across Friday 1st, Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd July returning to the famous Parco Dora in central Turin. The first DJs confirmed for the line-up read as a who’s who of electronic music. On Day 1, Friday 1st July Belgium’s sought-after selector Amelie Lens returns, performing alongside Swiss DJ Andrea Oliva and heavyweight DJs such as Germany’s Boris Brejcha and the hugely acclaimed FOUR TET making his KappaFutur debut. Elsewhere there’s Ugandan collective NYEGE NYEGE, South Korea’s one and only Peggy Gou, Beatport-topping Reinier Zonneveld playing live plus London-based Syreeta and Spanish DJ -Wade.
Making their debut on Day 2, Saturday 2nd July UK house heroes CamelPhat, plus returns from Craig Richards and US-based house DJ Derrick Carter. There’s another debut headline set this time from the illustrious US genre-hopping DJ/producer DIPLO whilst the influential UK DJ/producer Jamie Jones returns with an exclusive Back-to-Back session with house duo The Martinez Brothers. Day 2 also includes sets from the pioneering Chilean-born DJ/producer Ricardo Villalobos and Switzerland’s Sonja Moonear.
Finally for Day 3, Sunday 3rd July the undisputed king of techno and festival favourite Carl Cox returns along with sets from Motor City Drum Ensemble’s Danilo Plessow, Italy’s Enrico Sangiuliano, American legendary house hero Danny Tenaglia, Spain’s Dennis Cruz and Germany’s Helena Hauff. Plus revered Italian native Joseph Capriati returns to the KappaFutur stage as does Monika Kruse and London’s PAWSA.
These names are just the first phase of the line up with more DJs being announced over the coming weeks.
The festival’s last edition in 2019 was a record-breaking success – selling out both days (over 50, 000 tickets) and bringing together over 100 different nations of passionate house and techno lovers to enjoy the world’s best DJs. As a testament to the festival’s continual growth and global appeal, Kappa FuturFestival also won the coveted ‘Best International Festival‘ award at that year’s DJ Awards joining a prestigious list of previous winners such as Tomorrowland, Ultra Music Festival, Sónar Music Festival, Creamfields and Awakenings.
