Romy, of The xx Fame, Unveils Enchanting Single “The Sea” from Upcoming Solo Album alexadmin
The highly anticipated new album from Parisian house phenomenon Martin Solveig, Back To Life, will be released on October 20 via POSITIVA/EMI.
The long wait for Martin Solveig’s first album since 2011 was well worth it, as Back To Life is full of uplifting new music with memorable hooks and production that showcases the artist’s many musical talents.
The album’s first single, “I Don’t Wanna Work,” has Stefflon Don’s catchy vocal hooks over a typical Solveig disco rhythm, while “Coffee at Tiffany’s” keeps the party going with Raphaella’s sugary melodies over funk bass. ‘Lost’ dials down the beat for a somber, introspective moment, while ‘Bite Size’ features Ina Wroldsen on piano for a disco-inspired stomp.
The album’s centerpiece and first single, “Allo Allo,” again turns to Raphaella for a memorable hook. It’s followed by “After Midnight,” a chill downtempo track featuring MNDR. A powerful ballad with a heartfelt chorus, “Now Or Never” features the soaring vocals of in-demand singer-songwriter Faouzia. The album ends on a reflective note with the piano ballad “Confettis & Rain.”
worldwide platinum success French musician Martin Solveig has been making waves for two decades as a DJ, producer, and composer, and he shows no signs of slowing down. After honing his skills as a DJ in the legendary Parisian clubs Le Palace and Le Queen in his teens, he went on to release hit singles and work as a producer for Madonna. Martin has collaborated with fellow house fan David Guetta on ‘Thing For You,’ and he also performs as EUROPA, a duo with fellow producer Jax Jones, whose latest hit was the 2022 summer smash ‘Lonely Heart’ featuring Gracey. In addition to his four sets at Ushuaia, Ibiza this summer, Martin’s tour schedule for 2023 will reach 50 stops.
Martin Solveig finally published a new full-length album after more than a decade, and it’s excellent.
